Kia ora, my name is Katherine (or Kat for short) and I am part of the Nursery team here at Moa.

I am passionate about early childhood education and I strive to ensure that I am fostering meaningful reciprocal relationships with tamariki and whānau as I believe that this creates a supportive community where every child feels valued and empowered to explore, learn and flourish.

My family moved back to New Zealand after living in the UK and we have one child together who has ASD so I have personal experience with children that have additional needs and have worked in education for a number of years.

In my spare time I enjoy being in the outdoors, reading, listening to music and being creative; from painting to making jewellery.

I also love spending time with my larger family having regular gatherings to enjoy each other’s cooking.

I am looking forward to teaching your Tamariki and supporting your whānau.
