My name is Margie. I am one of the Preschool Kaiako. When I first came to Moa, I quickly fell in love with the place as everyone was so welcoming and friendly.

Originally, I grew up in the Philippines but moved and have lived in New Zealand since 2009. I am married to Marcus and we were blessed with one son. We live local and are currently in the process of building our home in Sumner. Our family loves going for walks locally and exploring the outdoors outside of Christchurch. We also love kayaking, riding our bikes and going camping.

I have been working at Moa Kids since May 2017. Prior to this, I also worked in another Centre in Christchurch for four years. In between working as a teacher, I studied Bachelor of Teaching ECE at New Zealand Tertiary College and graduated in 2021.

I am looking forward to teaching your children and promoting everyone’s culture at Moa. Maintaining culture and identity is fundamental for the children as they are our future.
